NHS CIRCUS EVENT

Held for Local NHS and Key workers in recognition of all their efforts during the Covid pandemic

As a big thank you to the local NHS and front line workers the Rotary Club of Haslemere joined forces with the Jay Miller Circus to present a free night of circus entertainment on Lion Green.
Over 300 local front line workers and their families were entertained in the Big Top, in recognition of all they did during the Covid pandemic. The special show was also attended by the Mayor of Haslemere  Simon Dear, the immediate Past District Governor of Rotary District 1145, Nick Drake, and the Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey Bill Biddel.
All agreed the event was a great success, and at the end all the children left holding a balloon.
Many thanks to the Jay Miller Circus and all the perfomers for their generous support in staging this event.

What the Deputy Lieutenant thought about the event.

Dear Haslemere Rotary Club
Very many thanks for looking after me so brilliantly on Tuesday evening and for giving me the opportunity to thank local NHS and retail staff in the big top on behalf of the Lieutenancy.
It was such an impressive performance matched by such an impressive turnout of families who were obviously relishing your invitation to enjoy the circus.
Very hard not to!
Your sweet talking of Jon Miller paid off in spades and Haslemere is so fortunate to have its own very active Rotary Club able to facilitate such events.
So good to see The General as well and renewed thanks for such a good evening.
Very best wishes
Bill Biddel DL of Surrey.
