Planting 20,000 purple crocus corms on Borough Road

Saturday 16th October 2021 -As part of our campaign to highlight Rotary’s international drive to eradicate polio worldwide we are planting purple crocus on the bank up Borough Road. This will take a few weeks to complete.

We have been helped by pupils from Holy Trinity School.

Saturday 13th November - 12,000 bulbs planted to date.

Friday 19th November - This afternoon we were joined by refugees who helped us with the planting.

Sunday 12th November - All bar 200 bulbs now planted.  These last few are needed for the garden refurbishment at St Barnabas School.

Look forward to seeing the results in the Spring.

March 2022 A nice display for the first year.  They should get better with time as the clumps fill out.
