The annual Bridge Tournament

The annual Bridge Tournament organised by Hungerford Rotary Club's James Brown to raise money for local charities, attracted 64 card players from around Hungerford.

Many people generously donated Raffle prizes, cakes, tarts, sandwiches and teas which were ably served by Wendy Wallis, Yvonne Haddrell and Carol and David Whitely. Particularly to be thanked for prizes were The Hungerford Book shop. Sylvia Judge, Liz Barry and Robin Dudney ran a raffle which contributed £280. Hugh Pihlens performed the task of the Master of Ceremonies with the main prize being won by Ann McMahon.

I excellent afternoon of Bridge raised one thousand pounds for good causes both locally and nationally.

'What We Do' Main Pages:

The second Repair Cafe was at the Corn Exchange Hungerford. Over 40 people came to have help with their broken articles.
