The Rotary Harry Rankin 2022 Fishing Competition

Scottish District Rotary Sports, Districts 1010, 1020 & 1230

Calling all Scottish Rotarians interested in Fly Fishing on The Lake of Menteith

Monday 6th June will probably be remembered for the beautiful day and good fellowship rather than the number of fish caught, although Howard Hughes from the Inverurie Club was happy to win the day out with his catch of 3 fish weighing in at just over 7lbs.

The heaviest trout was caught by Peter Austin a grand 4lb 2oz although the biggest fish was probably caught by Graeme MacKenzie but unfortunately it did not count as it was a large pike.

The next outing on Monday 56h Septemberwill be £50.00 per person, which includes the day’s  fishing + a drink and meal at the Lion & unicorn

Please confirm as soon as possible if you hope to attend by email to

I will send out an invoice in July for the September 5thouting, if people cancel at least 14 days before the event we should not be charged for the boat.

Please pass this information on to anyone in your club or other clubs in your district who might be interested, we need new blood.

Please, please reply to me ASAP if you hope to attend.

If you would like to be removed from my mailing list, please let me know.
