Young Musician 2022

A brilliant evening of music which left the judges stunned at the quality

Our club heat of the Rotary Young Musician Competition took place at Epsom College on Wednesday 16th November 2022.

The quality of the performers was excellent and judges who had a very difficult task were stunned by the quality of the performers.

The winning vocalist was Katie Evans of Epsom College and the winning Instrumentalist was Isabella Mackie of City of London Freemans School on oboe.

Lots of Thank-yous

1) Epsom College for hosting the event  (Paul Johnson-Hyde Head of Music and Gillian Ford)

2) The deputy Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Councillor Rob Geleit, for presenting the certificates

3) The judges Karl Nicholas, Anne Woolf-Skinner and Lionel Blackman

4)  All the competitors, accompanists, supporters and families

5) All the Rotary team who worked hard to ensure a successful evening.

The winners will now go forward to our Rotary District Final, which will take place in the spring of 2023 and our club looks forward to supporting them at this event.
