Charminster Pre-School Garden Makeover

 We assisted Charminster Pre-school (registered charity # 1019866) who had won a garden makeover with help and supplies from DOBBIES GARDEN CENTER. They are a "Pre-school who strongly believes in the benefits of outdoor play and as such spend the majority of our day enjoying the outdoors in all weathers", so it is clear just how much the children will benefit from the improvements.

This included fruit trees, leveling off the area to help with drainage and Dobbies staff laying astroturf so that the area can still be used come Monday. A couple of weeks for the seeds to grow and a couple of months for the bulbs, and it will be a gorgeous green space.

We helped move soil and paving stones, dug and tramped soil, planted bulbs and a spot of tidying up at the end, which kept us warm in the glorious winter sunshine. It was a fantastic opportunity to help in our community and meet such a lovely and passionate group. Well done to Charminster Pre-School!
