Handover Night 2023

Mon, Jul 10th 2023 at 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Visit to Acorn Bank Watermill

Well, what a different night this was!

For some time Penrith Rotary has been moving away from the traditional Rotary model and our new President, Andrew, certainly set the stage with his slippers!

The members were treated to a very different evening - a very interesting visit to a local mill at Acorn Bank Watermill and then in a huge break with tradition to the new President's home for a summer supper of homemade lasagne and strawberry pavlova - prepared and served by the President's wife, Sarah, and their family - very delicious.

Our new President, adorned with the chain of office by our outgoing President John - then the induction of our new Vice President Stephen.

Then the induction of a new member - welcome to the world of Rotary to David.

President Andrew is very keen to encourage new, young, members - between 18 and 30 to start a new Rotaract Club - so please share this information and encourage young people to get in touch to be in at the start of our new club.

Penrith Rotary have supported numerous local young people, both individually and for groups, and it would be fantastic if those young people followed through to now begin a new club to continue to provide support fellowship and community participation.

We have a meeting at Penrith Golf Club on 24th July for more information - sign up to come directly here or DM us on Facebook, or our website [choose Rotaract]

This will give you the opportunity to be in at the start of a new adventure with the chance to join a worldwide family of committed professionals and people from all walks of life, making a difference in the world.

You never know where this could lead you to in yours!
