The Community Chest has been established to help community and voluntary sector organisations or groups with projects that are of benefit to the wider community. The Small Grants Scheme provides non-recurrent grants of up to £250. The projects should be small-scale that provide opportunities for local people to be involved in their local community.
The following are organisations / projects that we have supported in the last round:
Bakewell Swift project, to purchase swift nesting box.
Bakewell Friday club for cooking equipment.
Rowsley Primary school class set of glockenspiels.
Baslow St. Annes Primary school bulb planting and growing project.
Community Chest Grant issue 2 opens January 15th. Closing date for entries will be Friday 23rd February 2024
It is expected that successful applications will receive the funding within 6 weeks of the closing date of applications

Rotary Bakewell are rolling out more Charity Collecting Tins. Several new outlets in Bakewell and the surrounding area have agreed to display our new collecting tins.

moreRotary Bakewell have signed up to the Climate Clever commitment to fight back against the climate crisis. They have now been awarded a Certificate of Progress having completed the first level.
