04 August 2023 - Second Family Fridays - Marketplace Epsom
The Marketplace Epsom was again vibrant with the Family Fridays Event run by BID - Go Epsom which provided free entertainment for children and families in the Marketplace, Epsom to highlight the importance of fun and bringing more people into Epsom Town Centre.
The event was set up at around 11 am and fun began at 12 noon with steel drums, circus skills display, puppet shows throughout the day, free Teacup ride which again proved very popular and arts and crafts, and a stall by The Mayor's charities.
Epsom Rotary were again deployed to marshal, to ensure safety of all those concerned, monitor the queues for the teacup ride and at the base encouraged children to produce artwork which if the children were happy to release would form a display at the Library in the Ebbisham Centre. The Library were excited by the event. We managed to deliver around 23 pieces or the most glittery creative artwork which the children enormously enjoyed producing. They were also given the opportunity to decorate stones, which they did take away with them. We were lucky enough for the day to stay dry and it was clear that the event was enjoyed by everyone that attended.
Enormous thanks go to Karen Pengelly - Epsom BID.
