Market Place 25th August

Epsom and Ewell Rotaries supported the final Family Friday afternoon for the summer in Epsom on 25th August

The marketplace in Epsom was again filled with families enjoying the outdoor events at the last Family Friday event run by the Epsom BID team.   This one was jointly organised by Karen Pengelly of BID and Paul Taylor of What's On  in Epsom.  Epsom Rotary, as well as holding a craft stall for children, marshalled the events and fairground rides.

The entertainment included steel drums, crafts, face painting, free teacup rides, puppet shows and magic shows.  It was very well attended and there were scores of happy children. . Karen reported that she is very pleased that the business have said that they have had an increase in trade as a result of the event, including M & S.   Maggie was commended by the Teacup ride operator for her skill in assisting with the teacup rides.

This was a great team effort by member of the Epsom Rotary Club, fellow Rotary Clubs and friends of Epsom Rotary and a chance to do something very worthwhile and great fun. There were some familiar faces, children that had revisited for more fun and new families.
