Generosity in Action: Rotary in Cardigan Bay Gives Back

We're thrilled to announce a heart-warming milestone: Rotary in Cardigan Bay has donated over £300 to fulfil Jigso's wish list. These funds are making a meaningful difference by providing essential secretarial items that will enhance the working environment for their dedicated staff.

Supporting a Better Working Environment

The secretarial items procured are set to transform the workspace at Jigso. In an era marked by unique challenges, it's essential to create a conducive environment that empowers staff to carry out their vital work effectively.

A Grateful Acknowledgement

A heartfelt thank you to Diane, who graciously received the donation on behalf of Jigso Cardigan. Rotary Christmas Toy Boxes: Bringing Joy to Families in Refuge

The holiday season is a time of joy and togetherness, but for families in refuge, it can be an especially tough period. This year, the challenges are even greater. Many children arrive at refuge with nothing but the clothes on their backs, confined to a single room with their mothers and siblings. The struggle to provide basic essentials is overwhelming, let alone the dream of gifting toys to their children during Christmas.

Rotary in Cardigan Bay are helping to Spread the Love and Kindness

That's where the Rotary & Kidsout Christmas Toy Boxes come in—a beacon of hope and kindness. Our mission is simple yet profound: to provide children in refuge with brand-new toys that not only bring smiles but also support their mental health and well-being. We believe that every child deserves a moment of joy, especially during the holiday season.

A Box Full of Happiness

Each Rotary Kidsout Christmas Toy Box is more than just a gift; it's a symbol of love and care. Packed with over £80 worth of gender and age-appropriate toys, these boxes are thoughtfully designed to promote social and educational development. They also serve as a means for families to bond during a time when unity and support are crucial.

Wrap Up Cardiff: Coats for a Cause

Mark your calendars for October/November 2023 as we gear up for Wrap Up Cardiff, a heartwarming campaign driven by local Rotary Clubs in collaboration with the registered charity Hands On London. Exact dates will be unveiled soon, so stay tuned!

Our Motto: "Is this coat good enough for you to wear?"

Quality matters, and that's our mantra! We're dedicated to ensuring that only top-notch coats find their way to those who need them most. Wrap Up Cardiff is all about distributing high-quality coats to charitable organisations, making a tangible difference in our community. Over 1000 coats were donated last year!

Lending a Helping Hand Where It's Needed Most

Wrap Up Cardiff isn't just about handing out coats; it's about making a meaningful impact. We work closely with homeless shelters, refugee centres, organisations supporting the elderly, women's refuges, children's centres, and various charities that provide crucial support to those in crisis.

Empowering Charitable Organisations

We firmly believe in empowering charitable organisations to identify and provide the right support to those in need. Instead of giving coats directly to families, we collaborate with these organisations to create lasting relationships and connect individuals with resources that can transform their lives.

Join Us in Making a Difference

Rotary in Cardigan Bay continues to be a force for good in our community, driven by the spirit of giving and the desire to uplift those in need. We invite you to join us in our mission to make a positive impact and spread kindness where it's needed most.

Stay connected with us as we continue to evolve Rotary in Cardigan Bay, keeping our values at the heart of all we do. Together, we're shaping a brighter future for West Wales.

Spread the Word: Help us expand our impact by sharing this newsletter with friends, family, and potential members who are eager to be part of a volunteer-driven movement dedicated to transforming our community.

With gratitude and warm regards,

Philomena & Rotary in Cardigan Bay Team
