Festive Generosity at Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron:

In a heartwarming tradition that has spanned five joyful years for members of Rotary in Cardigan Bay the month began with a delightful collaboration with the children of Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron. Together, we crafted and shared the warmth of Christmas gifts for the residents of Min y Mor residential home. The gifts, ranging from individually decorated Christmas cakes to charming planters adorned with miniature spring bulbs, were a testament to the spirit of giving that defines this season.A group of kids in a classroom

DG Mary's Inspiring Visit:

Adding an extra sprinkle of magic, District Governor (DG) Mary graced us with her presence during this special occasion. Her visit became a memorable moment, as she shared inspiring words with the children about the significance of giving to others. This visit not only enhanced the festive spirit but also instilled a sense of purpose and compassion in the hearts of the young participants.

As we reflect on this beautiful start to the season, we are reminded that the true essence of Christmas lies in the joy of giving and the connections we build within our community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this tradition a resounding success!

Delivering Joy to Min y Mor:

On the 20th of December, with our very own Santa leading the way, the children from Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron created a magical experience for the residents. As students from Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron entertained with seasonal tunes, the joyous occasion not only delivered tangible gifts but also created lasting memories for both the givers and receivers. The atmosphere was filled with the spirit of giving and community connection.

An In-Person Tradition Rekindled:

This marked the first time since 2019 that we could carry out this cherished annual tradition in person. The residents and staff at Min y Mor were not only recipients of thoughtful presents but also immersed in the festive spirit brought to life by the heartfelt gestures of the young gift bearers and talented student singers.

.Wishing a Very Happy Christmas:

As we look back on this memorable day, we extend our warmest wishes to the residents of Min y Mor, hoping the gifts and the songs continue to resonate with the joy of the season. It's moments like these that remind us of the power of community, connection, and the magic of giving. May the holiday season bring happiness and warmth to all

Inaugural Reindeer Run for RNLI:

Dec 10th saw the inaugural 5K Reindeer Run on New Quay beach, organised by one of our members in support of the RNLI lifeboat Appeal. RiCB proudly sponsored the essential St John's Ambulance presence at the event. Members braved the weather, supporting with registration, home made cakes, and marshalling, hinting at a potential new tradition in the making.

Tesco Cardigan Charity Collection Extravaganza:

Braving the elements on Dec 18th, our members outside Tesco Cardigan collected over £600 for local charities. Accompanied by carol singing from Friends of Cardigan Swimming Pool and entertainment by the Teifi Ukulele Group, the community came together in the spirit of giving.A huge thank you to shoppers for their generosity.
