Shipley Rotary Club
On May 28th the Shipley Glen Tramway celebrated its 130th birthday complete with Punch and Judy , classic Bradford Jowett Cars and alpacas. The Rotary Club of Shipley were asked if they would like to cater. Not knowing how many people would attend we were a little nervous as to many many to cater for , but knowing there were a hundred members in The Altogether Now choir ,who we performing, we decided on two hundred
The Rotary club members , partners and Friends of Rotary set to work baking two hundred cakes and making two hundred sandwiches . Thankfully the weather was good , even though a bit chilly , and we ended up raising over £700. It was certainly hard work but extremely rewarding and we had lots of very happy customers! Would we do it again? Yes!
