Young Artist Competition District 1070 Final, 2024

And the Junior winner is Isla Clarke from St Margaret's Church of England Primary School, Stoke Golding

The competition aims to encourage young people to be creative, develop skills in using traditional, contemporary or digital media, demonstrate interpretation of the topic, and express personal ideas through a selected medium.

There are three stages of the competition, local area, District and National Final, with three age groups, Junior (7 – 10), Intermediate (11-13) & Senior (14 – 17).

Prizes of £150 for the winner of each of the three age groups at the National Final are kindly supplied by artist Lucy Pittaway and the Fine Art Trade Guild. The winners will also have the opportunity to have a one-hour online meeting with Lucy, and fellow member of the Fine Art Group of the Guild and artist, Caroline Evans.

This year's subject for Young Artist was "Rebuilding".

The winner of the District 1070 Junior Final is Isla Clarke, a Year 5 student from St Margaret's Church of England Primary School, Stoke Golding., who was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Market Bosworth.

Isla's entry was "rebuilding the Earth as you would a jigsaw" and shows great maturity and insight.

We congratulate Isla and wish her every success in the National Finals.
