Shelterbox Showcase!
Members of Rotary Wickford were invited to Central London to visit a showcase on the work of Shelterbox
In recent years Rotary Wickford has donated in excess of £8,000 to Shelterbox , a well known and respected charity which provides emergency aid in cases of conflict, such as in Ukraine and Yemen and most recently Gaza, flooding, earthquake and other natural disasters such as in Morocco and Libya.
As a result Wickford has been made a Gold Partner of Shelterbox, one of only 16 Clubs in the UK to achieve that status.
In recognition of that staus, a number of members of the Club were invited to visit a Shelterbox Showcase in central London to learn more of the work the Shelterbox does, meeting the volunteers who give their time and energy to making this charity achieve its objectives.
