The Rotary Club of Leeds has just celebrated its 100th Birthday.

The occasion was marked by a Gala Dinner on May 11, at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.

Leeds Rotarians welcomed members from more than 20 Rotary Clubs, as well as representatives from their Edinburgh Mother Club and their twinned German Club: Braunschweig-Richmond.

The entire surplus from the Centenary Dinner and its associated activities – approximately £10 000 - will be donated to Candlelighters - Yorkshire’s Children’s Cancer Charity click here.

A cheque will be presented to Joe Sheppard of Candlelighters, at a ceremony, which will take place on June 24, at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Leeds.
