Little Free Library Project– Bigby:

Bigby Parish and Brigg Rotary have supported this very important initiative because the LFL movement exists to promote literacy and the love of reading by building free book exchanges locally and worldwide and to build a sense of community as we share skills, creativity and wisdom across generations. There are over 36,000 Little Free Library book exchanges around the world, bringing curbside literacy home and sharing millions of books annually

The LFL works much like a ‘real’ library – but with a difference! You do not need to ‘join’; anyone can come along whenever they wish to select a book or books. The Library is ‘open all hours’! When you take a book just leave a book of your own in its place. That way the LFL will sustain its stock. If you can return the books you’ve read and enjoyed others too can share your pleasure.

We hope this and other LFLs will be filled to overflowing with a varied selection of titles and genres to suit a wide range of ages and tastes.

Donations of books are always very welcome – just drop them off at the LFL.
