Jazz on a Summer Evening - a brilliant night!

Wickford Rotary recently welcomed many visitors to Hyde Hall for the annual Jazz on a Summer Evening

RHS Hyde Hall welcomed visitors old and new to the Jazz on a Summer Evening event recently, and boy, was it a summer evening!

Beautiful weather for the whole evening plus entertainment from the aptly named Sunshine Kings Jazz Band made it a fantastic night, well supported by our friends from the local community, plus a few who had come from far and wide; we even met a couple who had come from Brighton, and had cut their holiday in Spain short in order to make it!

There was lots to see at Hyde Hall; it was beautiful just walking the gardens in the evening and the evening coincides with the the sculpture exhibition which runs until almost the end of July; well worth a visit

Thanks to Hyde Hall for letting us have the venue, and to Dough and Co and The Mighty Oak Brewery for providing food and drink on the night. Proceeds (yet to be finally counted!) will go to support St Luke's Hospice in Basildon

And thanks to you our supporters for coming along and making it a great evening!
