Wonderful Jazz!
The annual Jazz on a Summer evening event this year was a real wow!
Almost 600 people came along to our Jazz on a Summer Evening event recently, held at RHS Hyde Hall, and it certainly disappoint!
The weather during the day had been hot hot hot, and it just started to cool down as hundreds of Jazz enthusiasts arrived at RHS Hyde Hall armed with picnics and chairs to enjoy an evening's entertainment, courtesy of the Sunshine Kings Jazz Band.
A garden bar serving Pimms and other summer cocktails had been organised by the RHS Hyde Hall along with catering to supplement the picnics that people brought with them.
For people who wanted a bit of exercise, walking around the grounds in the evening was a rare pleasure, with the music audible from all over the venue.
A big thank you to all who came along on the night and supported us. The final figure hasn't yet been arrived at, but we believe we will be able to donate approximately £7500 to St Luke Hospice in Basildon as a result of your generosity!
