Performing without a conductor, twenty of the world’s leading string players from 15 different countries will come together to promote peace. This will be the first of only 3 performances world-wide featuring the orchestra in 2019
On UN World Peace Day, Rotarians in Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley in collaboration with The World Orchestra for Peace are proud to present The Oxford Concert for Peace.
Join us for an evening of classical music from a global orchestra.
All the first violinists are concert masters in their own right and as such each piece will be lead by a different 1st violinist, so there will be no conductor which is very rare.
Charles Kaye (co-founder) will speak briefly about the orchestra along with one of the musicians as well as a couple of Rotary Peace Fellows about their work.
Tickets From £25 book through the Sheldonian website https://www.sheldonian.ox.ac.uk/events
