Medway Rotary Club's Santa Fun Run raising funds to take families with sick children cared for by Ellenor Hospice to Disneyland Paris

The Rotary Club of Medway’s Santa Fun Run in collaboration with Chatham Historic Dockyard returns this year on the 15th December. For the first time the event will take place in the historic dockyard giving participants the opportunity to parade through over 450 years of British maritime history. There will be a real party atmosphere at this iconic venue, generously supported by music provided by DJ Dave Slate of MTD Disco and Remix Entertainments who will provide additional equipment. The warm up session will be managed by a qualified teacher from the Right Step Dance Company, courtesy of Rebecca Ashton.

The timetable for the event is as follows:

09.30hrs            Gates open for pick up of Santa suits

10.00hrs            Disco and announcements

10.40hrs            Safety briefing for assembled Santas

10.50hrs            Warm up for runners begins

11.00hrs            Procession of Santas around the fun run route

11.15hrs            Fun run starts

12.00hrs            Event ends

Refreshments will be available to purchase during the event and all participants will receive a medal and 50% discount code voucher to visit the dockyard on one occasion throughout 2020.

Cost of entry will be £12.00 for adults and £7.50 for children under 16 years of age. Cost of entry includes a Santa suit, Medal and 50% discount code for future dockyard visit. As in other years, dogs will be allowed but must be kept on a lead and normal toilet discipline adhered to.

For Health and Safety reasons appertaining to this unique location entry may be limited to 400 persons. In this event early registration is encouraged and further details concerning this will appear by the 1st November 2019.
