The Quiz is back!
Despite the current situation we've managed to get a quiz together, and the feedback was very positive!
Early August saw the return of the regular Rotary Quiz, albeit in a shortened and virtual form.
Ever since the Coronavirus pandemic has prevented us from meeting in person we have been trying to find ways to get together and have some fun, and in the process raise a little money. It took us a while but we have found that a short form virtual quiz might be welcomed by some of our regular followers.
And so it was that as an experiment we tried a 5 round virtual quiz using Zoom, for individuals to attend, or if they were happy to do so, get together in small teams to do so.
We operated an honesty scheme for the answers, and almost 40 people took up the challenge in various households across Wickford and a few further afield.
The result? Well everyone who commented really enjoyed it:
"Thank you for doing the quiz – it seemed to work pretty well. It’s a shame we can’t join up with our teams online but .....at least it’s good to have the quiz going again."
" The virtual quiz concept was great.....All the best to you and I look forward to joining you on another virtual session soon"
And we also made a little money for the charity pot.
