Day 1 Report by John Davis

#surrey216 #debra #FightEB #ewellrotaryclub

My first ride of 21 went well yesterday (Tuesday 13/2/21) We started at Haslemere station and then on to Hindhead, Churt (the most westerly point), Bowlhead Green, Witley, Hambledon (where we had lunch, in the open air of course) Dunsfold, Alfold (the most easterly point), Chiddingfold and back to Haslemere.

We covered 42 very hilly miles, nine scheduled villages and 2 'bonus' villages of Brook and Grayswood. As the photos show, we had fun by the stocks at Alfold Church.
Nine down and 207 to go !

The next outing is on Friday 23rd April starting at Farnham Station.

Friday 16 April saw the second of 21 rides in aid of DEBRA. We started at Farnham Station and went on to Hale, Badshot Lea, Tilford, Elstead (the most easterly point), Rushmoor, Frensham (where we had lunch by the big pond with the duck for company), Wrecclesham (the most westerly point), Compton and finishing back at Farnham. Another 9 destinations today just leaves 198 to go !

The next outing is scheduled for Tuesday where I will be cycling around the Guildford area.

So far we have raised £605. Thank you to all our supporters.
