Easter Egg Hunt

Family Fun Saturday 16th April In Market Bosworth Country Park

Cracking Fun For All The Family

Our Rotary Easter egg hunt exceeded all expectations.

The Great Easter egg hunt began just three years ago with modest success before those months of lockdowns prevented a repeat last year. So when this year’s planning got underway, club members really didn’t know what to expect.

Organiser Claire Ashdown told us “ Holding the hunt on a Saturday morning, instead of Good Friday or Easter Sunday, which we realised are very much family occasions, proved to be an inspired decision. We probably welcomed 100 youngsters or so, all coming in search of eggs in the park.” adding “ Also, what had originally started as an Easter Bonnet competition, was transformed into an Easter Headwear competition, to encourage the lads to take part. Great idea!”.

“This was always intended to be a fun event for the local children and, if by chance there was any money left over after all that chocolate had been paid for, we’d send it to Rainbow’s Children’s Hospice. Such was the success of the hunt that we we have something in the region of £200 to hand over”.

Brothers Harry and Jacob (aged 7 & 9) took first & second prizes with Phoebe (aged7) a close third.

We hope to see you all again next year.
