The efforts of the Group will assist with simplifying and making available information on helping

  1. Refugees in Countries bordering Ukraine
  2. Refugees entering D1070.

The group will:

  1. Gauge the need of Ukrainian refugees coming into the District.
  2. Obtain information from the Clubs on what they would like to do to help.
  3. Centralise the information, disseminate, and support Clubs looking for initiatives where they can help
  4. Liaise with Foundation for possible funding streams, e.g., DRG.
  5. Obviously, act on helping the refugees with that information and funding (liaising with Community)

We will do this by:

  1. Mass mail communication with all Rotary Clubs in District of the creation of this support group - to ask for Club plans for Refugees (out-of-country, and more importantly on plans for the influx of refugees).
  2. To discuss with Rotary Foundation what the most efficient way of obtaining funding for supporting refugees entering the District will be.
  3. To work with Ian Robinson on creating a webpage dedicated to having information useful for supporting refugees in District (including what clubs are doing and what funding could support that).
  4. Having FAQs on what the current situation means and how Clubs can help.
  5. Having a rapid response email or phone contact structure that Clubs can contact for more information.
