*****BREAKING NEWS*****
For the first time ever, we are running a Duplicate Bridge Charity Competition at the District Conference in October in Eastbourne. It's going to be the best Conference ever - and you can spend Saturday afternoon playing a proper Bridge match and winning super prizes to boot. Watch this space for news of the prizes! More information to follow!
THE FINAL OF THE 2019-2022 SKITTLES COMPETITION
finally took place in January of 2023 - the longest ever! It was a very close match in which it looked as though Shepperton & Sunbury had won until the very last ball when Titsey overtook them by just 2 points! What a match. See the picture of scoreboard and the two teams!
And the final of the 2019-2022 Table Tennis Competition:
"In what was probably the longest duration of a competition involving a delay of two years caused by the lockdown Farnborough RC were finally able to take on the combined Chichester/ Chichester Priory duo.
In the first game of the best of three match Farnborough went into an early lead and although Chi narrowed the difference towards the end they held on to take the first game by a margin of 3 points.l to r Tim Dunkley (F) Mike Harvey ( Chichester Priory) Mike Smailes(F) and Mike Turner (Chichester)"

District 1145 runs competitions annually in badminton, bridge, cribbage, darts, dominoes, pool, quiz, skittles, snooker, table tennis and ten pin bowling. Please see our page on Golf where you will find an invitation to a Charity Golf Day at Brookwood on 5th June!Below or to the side you will see a box for each sport. Every sport has its own draw and these are shown as a picture which is updated every time I am told of a result of the date of a match. The upper team in a draw is the Home Team.
Go to the box for the sport you are interested in. Mostly you just need to click into the box and you will see the draw. Sometimes there is more than one region, like in skittles where there is a north and south, so there will be two pages. You need to click on the first box and the draws are held in two sub-boxes.
Sometimes the picture of the draw might be a bit small if you are looking on your phone or ipad. Try holding your finger or pointer over the picture, or right click on it to open in another window. Try expanding it if possible. There is always a way, but it varies according to your method of viewing.
NOTE: If you are the first of your pairing to win your match and declare a result, you can choose whether to be at home or away in the next round. So get your matches and declarations in quickly!!
