Donate to get large Generators into Ukraine

Rotary Delivers Two Large Generators to Ukrainian Hospitals. More will follow. Please donate here.

These Generators are in Hospitals in Kharkiv.

  • In the middle of December Rotary in the Thames Valley launched an appeal for donations from all the District Clubs and the public in order to buy large generators that could be installed in Ukrainian Hospitals and Care Homes.
  • By the middle of January we had raised over £45,000 which included a donation of £25,000 from the Quakers.
  • We quickly purchased two large Generators (90kVA & 45kVA).
With the help of Ukrainian Rotarian colleagues these were installed a week later in two Kharkiv hospitals near to the conflict front line.
  • A letter from the Quakers to the Ukrainians and the appreciative response from the hospitals can be seen in the slideshow above
  • We are now purchasing further generators destined for other hospitals in Kharkiv.
  • More hospitals are identified to follow this as soon as funds permit, these are selected from a list of Ukrainian hospitals that need generators which has been provided by the International Rotary Fellowship of Healthcare Professionals
We welcome donations from all Rotary Clubs and Districts, any organisations or members of the public who want to help the Ukrainians. Perhaps you would consider donating some, or all, of your Winter Fuel Payment?
We accept Gift Aided donations and donations by Bank Transfer or cheque.

We are already planning to extend this initiative across the Great Britain and Ireland.
