New Year Walk and Lunch

Ray Atkinson is organising a New Year walk and lunch for after Christmas, on Sunday January 7th. 

There will be a flat walk of about 2 hours, 4-5 miles, followed by lunch at the Midway on Newbridge Lane. You are welcome to join us for the walk and lunch, or just the lunch if you're not able to walk with us. The walk will depend on the weather and will start at the Midway at about 10am. Lunch will be at 1pm. They have offered us a private room which does come with a room charge.

Attached is a menu and you can choose either the Sunday roast or from the standard menu. The restaurant require a pre-order which I will need before Christmas. I will also be taking your payment before the day so that I don't have to deal with it on the day. I will ask you for the cost of your food plus £3 per person to cover the room charge and a staff gratuity.

I need a good idea of numbers this week to confirm the booking for The Midway so I would be grateful if you would let me know before Friday 1st December if you would like to join us. Your food choice and payment can wait but Ray wants to know how many will be going for the lunch. This is open to friends and family too. 

We have done these New Year walks and lunch in the past and they've been a great way to get together again after Christmas and New Year. We are hoping it will be well supported and although The Midway haven't given a maximum number, it will be first come first served, so let Ray know as soon as possible please.
