Grace O'Malley

From Rotary Young Citizen to Rotaractor raising thousands of pound for charities

Since a very young age, Grace has been a very passionate charity fundraiser. She has raised over £100,000 for charities such as The Royal British Legion, The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Cancer Research charities and Pendleside Hospice, etc. She achieved this by organising and performing in concerts throughout the UK as well as creating four Charity CDs. These experiences made her into the performer she is today, giving her the ability to connect with her audiences.

In 2014 she was so honoured to be awarded a ‘BBC Rotary Young Citizen’ Award where she sung live on the BBC News 24 channel. Since then, she has performed regularly for Rotary clubs all around the UK. This includes the Rotary International Conference in Manchester 2017 and The Volunteer Expo in Birmingham at the NEC in 2022. Grace is a founding member of The Rotaract Club of London and during the covid-19 pandemic, organised and sang via zoom raising collectively £6000 as a club for Polio and the homeless charity CRISIS.  She is currently the 2022/23 President of the club.

For her continued fundraising through the years, she was very honoured in to become a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow in 2022. Following her own Young Citizen award, it has been her pleasure the past few years to help adjudicate the fantastic Rotary Young Citizen Awards. In November 2022, Grace recorded a ‘Children of Rwanda Christmas Song Calendar’ releasing a Christmas song a day on social media. With this and in collaboration with her Rotaract Club, they raised £1400 for the charity ‘Children of Rwanda’.

Grace was a panellist and performed at the Rotary Club of London’s Empowering Girls Event for Rotary International President Jennifer Jones in March 2023. She was also a Presenter and sang at the Rotary Young Citizen Awards in April 2023.

Grace looks forward to be a panellist and perform at the District 1070 Centenary Conference.
