Iveshead Interact

Raising Funds for Ukraine

Beginning at 8am on the 29th April, two static bikes were set up in a common area at Iveshead School.  From that point on, 29 students from the Iveshead Rotary Club Interact Group all banded  together to make sure the pedals didn’t stop turning for the next 24 hours.

Having seen what was occurring in Ukraine, we felt compelled to help in any way we could, and so decided to organize this event and get sponsored to keep pushing on for the benefit of those less fortunate than us, with all proceeds going to the Disasters Emergency Committee.  Altogether, we raised a tremendous

£2022.50!  We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who was generous enough to donate anything at all, as well as all the other Staff and Students that cheered us along – especially Mrs Brentnall, a teacher at the School without whom we never could have achieved this.

The Interact Group also recently held a Bake Sale at Iveshead, raising another huge sum of £232 for the same Charity.

We’re very proud to have been able to raise so much money for sucha great cause!

We are all eager for opportunities to help our local community, as well as those abroad, so if you have any suggestions or events we can get involved with, email us at info@ivesheadschool.org
