Several members of the Rotary Club of Thame have joined parents and leaders of Thame's Girl Guides in planting trees and shrubs at the Guides new Thame Headquarters' garden, Southern Road, on a sunny Sunday the 10 May.
Planting around the new building was Guides most recent priority and the Rotary Club of Thame has contributed towards the purchase of the plants with the money coming from club's own funds as well with the support of a Simplified Grant from Rotary Thames Valley District (1090). Marius Ciortan, the club's president said: "Over the last couple of years the Rotary Club of Thame has helped the Thame Girlguiding in raising money towards their new building which is now almost ready. This time we were very happy to give a hand with their garden as well. Most of the work has been completed on Sunday."
back The aim of this action group is to coordinate the fundraising activities of the club for the chosen charities of the year.
