What would it take to change the world? Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio. This site explains some of the contribution that the Rotary Club of Eccles makes but have you got 4 minutes to find out more about what Rotary does across the world. Have a look at this film. |
If you want to find out more about Rotary and how you can have fun while you help in this kind of work, click the 'Membership' tab on the left hand menu. |

Television presenter Konnie Huq recently visited India with Rotary volunteers and took part in the National Immunisation Day, delivering polio vaccine alongside our volunteers. She produced a short film for the BBC and was interviewed on the Breakfast programme on Sunday 22nd November. Take a few minutes to read her report and look at her film, it shows why polio eradication is so important and the major effort for Rotary across the world. Guardian Health Editor, Sarah Boseley was also part of the group, read her report here and visit her photo gallery. |
