We're a small friendly group of men and women from the Bathgate area in West Lothian.
Above all we enjoy fellowship and commitment to our weekly meetings and co-operation on special projects.
Service Above Self is the focus of our involvement - but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Fun and friendship are a vital part of the Rotary Club of Bathgate.

- Racing driver Dario Franchitti was born here. He now races in the USA-based Indycar Series where he won the 2007 and 2010 Indianapolis 500s, 2007 and 2009 Indy racing League Championships.
- Racing driver Mario Franchitti, younger brother of Dario, driving in the American Le Mans Series in 2009.
- Sir James Young Simpson, discoverer of the anaesthetic properties of chloroform, was born here.
- Actor David Tenant, who played Barty Crouch Jr in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the tenth incarnation of The Doctor in Doctor Who, was born here.

- Director Micahel Caton Jones was born in nearby Broxburn, went to St. Mary's Academy here.

- Racing driver Paul di Resta lived in Bathgate and studied at the present Bathgate Academy. He is competing in the DTM in 2009 and is the cousin of Dario and Marino Franchitti.
