The Club was founded in October 1936 in Glenmore House in The Crescent Surbiton,
the Club has done some amazing things throughout its 70 years.
Supported the troops through the War Years by providing a catering
facility at Surbiton Station, helped by their wives ( members of Inner
Wheel) Hosted guests Internationally, formed a link with a twin Club in
Belgium.
Set up the Surbiton Annual Festival. Offered Youth
Exchange opportunities. Created and supported a Rotaract Club (now 30
years old) Sponsored the RNLI Regatta weekend on the River Thames.
Raised countless amounts for all manner of Charities. Enjoyed Theatre
Trips, Boat outings, socials (such as Skittles,) Vocational tours,(
Covent Garden Opera House) Quiz nights.

Alfred Bestall , famous for his drawings of Rupert Bear.
