The Ukulele Band's first ever public performance was last Tuesday, 29th November, at the Crown Inn, Didsbury Road. The bemused regulars and band groupies were treated to the full repertoire, culminating in a very fine version of Frer Jacques sung in some long lost German dialect known only to Bob. The pub generously provided hot food, and donated the profits from this to our collection. The locals were also more than happy to give us money, surely not in the hope that we would go away. A video of the performance is available on Youtube and can be seen here.
