International Committee.

During this current Rotary Year the committee will be supporting the District Governor's preferred charity "SAND DAMS"  in  Africa which will retain the rain water to assist the people of the drought areas in the long dry season.  Also for the African continent we will be funding the purchase of mosquito nets for the prevention of malaria mainly in Tanzania.

The committee will continue to fund the purchase of refurbished computers and IT equipment for African Schools and to include a contribution during the year to the Zimele Charity. Water Aid, Aqua, Shoe and Shelter Box programmes are also to be considered for funding during the year.

At the Club Assembly two other charities were included namely "Let the Children Live" (a school in Peru for under privileged  children)  and "Electricity for Educaid"  continuation of an electrical programme started last year in a Kenya school.

In addition to the supporting of charities we will invite overseas Students from local Colleges and Universities to address the club at a weekly meeting.
