Community

Community Service to the needy and deserving areas of our community is a whole club responsibility though our team is responsible for managing these areas of our Rotary life.

We appreciate that community has taken rather a back seat in the previous Rotary year and it is our intention to rectify this for the coming Rotary year.

We have already identified some potential good causes which we will investigate further to decide those we wish to present to club council for consideration and decision, then to the club membership. We request all members to actively identify areas of service and need to inform the community team to consider. 

It is our intention to support very worthwhile causes dependent upon finances available. We intend to look at and seriously consider fund raising events for this year, to enhance our benevolent fund in order to be able to finance areas the club wishes to provide support.

We are very conscious that in the past year or two we have had few fund raising events other than music related events and we would like to change this. We will also investigate joint fund raising events with other Clubs in our area particularly Wellingborough Hatton. Together with giving careful consideration toward applying for a district grant where appropriate.
