Last Thursday's meeting was well attended by members and 3 guests to hear of the Club's plans for the next Rotary year which starts on 1 July.
Keith Hopkins, who will be District Governor in 2014-15, attended to hear President Elect Colin Strachan outlined his aspirations for the year before he handed over to the various committee chairs to set out their proposals in detail. High on the agenda is maintaining the club's strong links with local communities and organisations and in particular, building on our involvement with schools for various youth activities.
Our major fundraising efforts will continue to support Strathcarron Hospice, The Children's Hospice Association Scotland, ChildLine and Parkinson's UK and we are looking at providing more support for smaller, local good causes.
It looks like being a very busy year ahead and Keith Hopkins commended the club for the ongoing commitment shown by the members.
