The third annual Judy Murray Tennis Competition was held at the Dunblane Sports Club on Sunday 14 July. Jointly run by Dunblane Sports Club and the Rotary Club Bridge of Allan and Dunblane, the event was open to players aged 5-10 years who were just starting their tennis journey. The winner of the Mini cup was Riley Thomson (6) and the junior cup was awarded to George Gornall (10).

Entry to the competition was by sponsorship and £1200 was raised which will be equally split between Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) and the Sports Club. The prize of a coaching session from Judy Murray was won by Alex Ross who individually raised £100.
Judy was busy on court during the day coaching the children and presenting the winners with their cups and prizes. All competitors received a certificate of attendance as well as a Wimbledon tennis ball personally signed by Andy Murray. Fiona Bennie, junior tennis coach at the Sports Club, was delighted so many children entered the competition.
