Traditionally, if there are 5 Thursdays in a month, the fifth is given over to an evening of socialising rather than having a guest speaker. It fell to Lawrie Orr to organise the entertainment and he rose to the occasion with a well put together musical quiz. 25 film soundtracks were played and members had to identify the film. There were many puzzled expressions before Lawrie put us out of our misery with the answers.
Fortunately for the majority, the scores were not revealed, but highest was Alan Lee with an impressive 17. For all that effort, he won a packet of Tunnocks Teacakes - and the applause of the members.
