Awards for two Bradford Academy students.
An illustrated presentation about their experiences on a youth leadership sail training adventure last summer was given to the Rotary Club of Bradford by Megan Neale (15) and Shannon Wroe (15), pupils at Bradford Academy.
The presentation to an audience of nearly 40 included pictures and explanation of the voyage up the north east coast to the Farne Islands, commentary on what they had learned and answering questions from the audience. Both students were presented with certificates marking their personal achievements by the Rotary Club of Bradford.
The adventure on an Ocean Youth Trust vessel sailing out of North Shields was part funded by Bradford Academy and Bradford Rotary Club working together. The two organisations hope to co-operate in providing other opportunities for young people in developing their life skills and experiences.
