The Journey of a secondary teacher
The "interesting" journey of a secondary headteacher.
Born in Warrington, educated in Cornwall and university at Exeter.
Originally a Drama/English teacher with an interest in rugby union.
Played for Rotherham, Taunton, Bodmin, Cornwall.
Taught all over - Sheffield, Newham, Somerset but finished up in challenging secondary schools in Yorkshire and Middlesbrough. North East Headteacher of the year in 2010. Best school in the UK for the "progress" of students in 2013 and published for the first time in 2016.
A part time education consultant and vice chair of governors at a primary school in Batley.
With some part time work for the NSPCC he still finds time for golf [ he needs it] and further writing.
