Sati Salona, is the managing director of Home Instead Senior Care (HISC) Calderdale & Spen Valley which specialises in providing good quality care-at-home to seniors, particularly those with dementia. HISC is a major player in the home care field, with over 100 caregivers delivering a service to over 150 clients. Sati, set up HISC 3 years ago following a bad experience with care for her own grandfather. In this talk Sati will chart her experience of leaving a career in finance in London, and establishing a successful company, and the challenges she has faced along the way. Sati also lectures on dementia, and will provide some background to the condition and how best to help someone live well with dementia.
