Risborough Area Community Partnership Annual Christmas Meal
The annual Christmas meal for the over-75’s was recently held on Friday the 14th December. The event is for elderly people in the Risborough Area who are living on their own and gives everyone a chance to meet up with old friends around Christmastime.
It took place at the Princes Centre and this year was well attended by 61 guests, the Rev David Williams came to meet the guests and was invited to say grace before the meal, PR Town Mayor, Matt Walsh also attended.
Amongst the guests were many regulars who have expressed their appreciation of the time and effort that has gone into organising the event.
Thanks also must go to the ladies from the WI and the Country Market who helped with serving the meals and decorating the tables and to Risborough Rotarians for providing the transport to and from the party. Amongst the helpers on the day was Peter Keen, the Chairman of Hypnos Beds. A big thank you must also go to Debbie and her team from Ashlea Catering for cooking a fabulous meal for so many guests.
This meal is organised by the Risborough Area Community Partnership, but it would not have been possible without the help and support of all the organisations involved, and the funding provided by The Heart of Bucks (Kop Hill Climb fund), Risborough Rotary and the Princes Centre for providing the room.
