Following on from their success at Youth Speaks South Craven School took two of the three prizes at the Dales Group Technology Tournament with wins at KS3 and KS4. Giggleswick School took the KS5 prize to avoid the complete dominance of South Craven.

Two major UK Removal and Storage Companies have agreed to carry Rotary ‘End Polio Now’ Logo’s on all their vehicles. GB Liners and White and Company will carry the logos on all their vehicles used for both National and International removals.

Some 142 riders, men, women and children pumped up there tyres, adjusted brakes and set off from the Greetland Community Centre on the 15th last for a ride up hill, down dale, across and along bridleways and on roads in an enjoyable mornings activity.

This year’s annual Firework Extravaganza once again took place in Myrtle Park, Bingley on Saturday 5th November. The 40 year old event, this year organised by The Rotary Club of Bingley Airedale, was yet another dazzling success.

Elite marathon runner Darran Bilton who lives in Pickering in North Yorkshire has generously offered to race and raise funds for six selected Rotary charities in this year’s 2009 Flora London Marathon, on 26th April 09
