About us

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Farnham

.We are club no. 166 chartered in 1924. We have 34 members (plus 6 honorary members) who live in the Farnham area.  We  meet each Thursday at lunchtime in The Bush Hotel, Farnham and we usually have a speaker at three of our meetings every month. The club is part of Rotary International and its main activity is to serve the community by running local events, supporting other organisations and raising funds for local charities and specific international projects or situations. We operate our own charity, the Rotary Club of Farnham Benevolent Fund (Reg no. 200435), which we use as the means of channelling our funds to the other charities and good causes we identify.
If you are a Rotarian visiting the area you will be made welcome at one of our meetings. If you are interested in joining Rotary, please contact our President for further information (president@rotaryfarnham.co.uk).

David Coker PHF

It is with great sorrow that our club learned today about the passing of a much loved and greatly admired member. David Coker suffered several years from different illnesses with amazing fortitude and continual good humour. He will be greatly missed as someone who embraced all the objectives of Rotary and supported our work in every way he could to the end.

8 August 2022

Club Meetings

Following the loosening of Covid restrictions, lunches resumed at the Bush Hotel from 12 August 2021.
The hotel now requires early booking of all places and menu choices for our weekly lunches and the deadline for bookings is 9am on Mondays. Visitors are welcome -- please contact our lunch secretary at lunches@rotaryfarnham.co.uk in good time to reserve meals.

 Charities

From fundraising during 2021 to June 2022 the club has been able to donate to relief in Aghanistan (£3000) and Ukraine (over £6000). In total the club has made donations and grants of over £28,000 in the year to June 2022, approximately half going to local charities and causes. These funds were raised through members' voluntary donations and fundraising activities.
