About us

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Farnham

.We are club no. 166 chartered in 1924. We have 36 members (plus 6 honorary members) who live in the Farnham area.  We normally meet each Thursday at lunchtime in The Bush Hotel, Farnham and we usually have a speaker at three of our meetings every month (BUT SEE OUR SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT BELOW). The club is part of Rotary International and its main activity is to serve the community by running local events, supporting other organisations and raising funds for local charities and specific international projects or situations. We operate our own charity, the Rotary Club of Farnham Benevolent Fund (Reg no. 200435), which we use as the means of channelling our funds to the other charities and good causes we identify.
If you are a Rotarian visiting the area you will be made welcome at one of our meetings. If you are interested in joining Rotary, please contact our President for further information (president@rotaryfarnham.co.uk).

Special Announcement - Suspension of Meetings

The Club Council has decided that, in the light of the circumstances arising from the coronavirus crisis, the club will not be meeting for lunches until further notice.

The Great Gatsby Gala event has been postponed from 21 May 2020 to 27 May 2021 at the Blacknest Golf Club.

Club Meetings on Zoom

Club meetings are now taking place every Thursday at 2pm on Zoom video conferencing. Members will require the Zoom software to be downloaded onto their computers, smart phones or tablet devices in order to be able to join the meeting. Details for joining meetings are emailed every week to all members. Visitors are welcome -- please contact secretary@rotaryfarnham.co.uk.

Local Charities

Our club sent £500 to Woodlarks Centre and £500 to Bells Piece plus £200 to the Hygiene Bank to suport their activities in the Farnham area. These funds were raised through special Christmas fundraising activities including a quiz and raffle.

 Single Use Plastics

Our club is starting a campaign to try to reduce single use plastics -- read the article displayed by clicking What we do above.
