I am writing to you on behalf of the Southwell Area Living Together charity in relation to sponsorship for our summer event.

On Saturday 2^nd August 2025 we will be holding our annual Love Portland Festival formally known as Summer Salt Island Bash.

This year is a very important year for Portland, as it has jointly with Weymouth been chosen by Dorset County Council as towns of Culture and we want to showcase Portland and all it has to offer as a place and community.

We are fortunate to have a very large site; courtesy of the Laming family of Portland, which enables us to host an array of activities to fund raise. The SALT charity then gives back to the local community by supporting Portland based groups and activities ranging from young, old, able and disabled who need financial assistance to support with equipment, running costs, developments and supplies.

Portland is an area of economic deprivation and without help some groups of these groups would have to disband due to lack of government funding.

We reach out to local businesses and organisation to help fund this exciting family event, this year we are struggling to find sponsorship and are asking for help to cover the costs of £2000, which is for event insurance, generators, portable toilets and marketing costs. Therefore, we are asking if you can make any contribution to enable this event to happen.

We as a committee are all volunteers and work tirelessly to ensure Portland families have a fun day out at little cost. Our event currently consists of;
