Healthy Heart Walk, Cliffe Park, Dronfield

A new Healthy Heart Walk has been launched in Dronfield's Cliffe.

The way marked route of 850 metres is aimed primarily at helping people with heart related conditions and has been welcomed by Dronfield Cardio Club.The walk is suitable for wheelchair users or anyone who wants to follow a short flat route on paths.
The walk has been developed with the support of Dronfield Town Council and Town Mayor Councillor Pam Jones officially launched the project.

The Cardio Club are going to walk the walk before being treated to tea and cake in the park cafe

Only £1 per week. 50% of all income is paid out as a prize each week. The remainder is only used to support projects and individuals within the S18 postcode. A true local lottery.

The grants, which will be a financial contribution towards the cost of the project, will be to help them enhance their understanding of other cultures.

To celebrate 50 years as a member of Rotary International, Dronfield Rotary Club is offering grants for young people living in or around Dronfield to travel overseas.

For 49 years over 100 members of the club have been active in the local community. There are currently 22 members.

The Rotary Club of Dronfield was chartered in 1975. Since that time over 100 members of the club has been active in the local community. There are currently 22 active members.

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster the ideal of 'Service above Self'- putting others first.
