Dunmow Rotary 2024/25

The last Rotary year has once again been a great one for the Club.

Rotary Club of Dunmow 2024/25

As this Rotary year draws to a close on June 30th, the Rotary Club of Dunmow has had another successful year, working with and for our community. The Club’s activities have supported people of all ages, with a range of Youth Competitions, encouraging and developing young talent, through to a concert for senior citizens, all of which are free to enter and attend.

Various other events have taken place to raise funds for local, national, and international charities. These include a Sports Personality Dinner, Rose Bowl Quiz, Metal Detecting Rally, support for Ride Essex, wine appreciation, Indian and Chinese meals, and Santa’s Sleigh, which travelled around Takeley, Little Canfield, Priors Green, and Great Dunmow Grange, with support for the sleigh from the Rotary Club of Takeley. The event takes approximately 300 hours of effort to prepare and run, but it is very rewarding with the warm welcome from local residents and the many smiling faces on cold winter nights.

Through the Rotary Club of Dunmow Collinson Legacy Fund (CLF) the club has been able to support many local organisation through the year including, Takeley Football Club, Buffy PlayBus, Uttlesford Community Travel, Grove Cottage, UCAN and many more.

The coming year 2025/26 will be a new chapter in the history of the Rotary Club of Dunmow with the first Lady President, Lois Sparkes, leading the club.

Rotary is an international organisation with clubs around the world of which the Rotary Club of Dunmow is just one. If you are interested in supporting your community, meeting new people, and having fun, why not attend a Rotary meeting and see how you could get involved and play a greater part in your community.

Details of the meeting times and locations for both the Rotary Club of Dunmow & the Rotary Club of Takeley can be found on the home page, in the 'About Us' section.
