Two entries from Dunmow won their respective classes in the District Young Environmentalist competition 2024/25. The theme this year was 'Wonderful Water - The Ocean'. The aims and objectives of the competition was to encourage young people to -
- Interact with the environment
- Address environmental issues
- Develop and explore solutions to environmental issues
- Explore, investigate, research & undertake an environmentally sustainable project individually or together.
Nicole was the winner of the junior class and can be seen receiving her trophy and prize from Peter Dowse, Rotary District 1240 Youth Lead.
Ankhan was the winner of the intermediate class and can be seen receiving her trophy and prize from Peter Dowse, Rotary District 1240 Youth Lead.
The prize given to both winners was a copy of the latest David Attenborough book 'Ocean: Earth's Last Wilderness'.
